Elements of a Rap Song

A normal rap song is comprised of two elements: the beat and the lyrics. Both of these have several tracks. And although this article mainly deals with the creation of beats, I’m going to stat with an intro of all the parts of a rap song so we can figure out where beats play a role.

Beats? What are they?

This is critical in rap production. The beat is basically the entire track except for the vocal parts. The beat typically includes these elements:

3. Orchestrated parts (might be synthesizer pads, string instruments or brass.
